The Hospital

There are five rehabilitation hospitals in srilanka. jayanthipura rehabilitation hospital is one of rehabilitation hospitals in srilanka. It is situated in polonnaruwa district & it is attached to RDHS office polonnaruwa & admnistrated under M.O.I.C

This hospital was established as maternity home about 50 years ago.Then it was functioned as rural hospital & since 2008 it is functioned as rehabilitation hospital. We have OPD,Dental,two wards(male & female separate partition for rehab patients in each ward), ETU,physiotherapy uni t& occupational therapy unit. We are conducting medical clinic, rehab clinic, suwa divi clinic, antinatal clinic, familly planning clinic&mental health clinic. Our future plans are,

1.To build new ward complex for rehab patients(male,female & paediatric)
2. To build new building for physiotherapy,occupational therapy & speech therapy
3.To build prosthetist & ortosist unit
4.To build vocational training unit
5.to build medical lab & X ray unit
6.To build rehab clinic room
7.to build mini conferance hall
8.to build land scapes with wheel chair access
9.To build canteen
10.To build play area for disabled patients
